Thank you for your interest in New Scholars Rising peer mentoring program! We pair first year students who are first generation college students (neither parents or guardians graduated from a 4 year college) with an upper-level student first generation peer mentor who is committed to helping and mentoring first year students.  Our focus is on helping you grow and finding your unique strengths, while helping to ease your transition to college.

Benefits of having a mentor include support for your academic, social, and UWGB life, and discovering the secrets to college success. Students with mentors tend to have higher first year GPAs and are more likely to stay in college.

We know your time is valuable, which is why we are offering a $400 scholarship for successful completion of the program for the semester. To get the most out of your mentoring experience, we ask that you check in with your mentor weekly, meet monthly with your mentor, attend three campus events, and participate in one social event and an orientation. We would also like you to meet with either your academic advisor or a faculty member.

If you would like to be part of this unique mentoring program, please fill out the information below, and we will contact you to get you started.
