Taking college credits through GEAR UP is a great way to explore an area of interest, get a jump start on your college career and develop some great skills that can be used in future careers or further study! As a GEAR UP student, this experience will be FREE to you and you will get to work side-by-side with our GEAR UP Services Specialist, Ben, to ensure your success.

Summer is a great time to take college credits as it allows you to focus on college classes, while your high school classes may not be in session. Be advised, the summer terms are much shorter than a typically Fall or Spring term, so these classes may require more time to be devoted to them each week.

Please also consider any summer plans that you already have in place that may interfere with potentially taking college classes (i.e. vacations, summer camp, summer school, etc.)
