Thank you for being interested in volunteering for the VITA program at UWGB!

Our mission to improve tax literacy in the community is made possible by the dedication of our volunteers!!! 

As a university-sponsored VITA program, we require all volunteers to pass the following three exams :
 1. Volunteer Standards of Conduct exam (10 multiple-choice questions)
 – refer to IRS Publication 4961
 2. Intake/Interview Quality Review exam (10 multiple-choice questions)
 – refer to IRS Publication 5101
 3. Advanced Tax Preparation exam (35 multiple-choice and fill-in the blank questions)
 – refer to IRS Publication 4012

The self-paced IRS training offered through Link & Learn provides a comprehensive overview of tax knowledge, helping you refresh your skills and prepare for the exams.

We hope you can commit to volunteering for about 2-3 hours each week from February to mid-April.
